Dr. Marisa Giardina

Dr. Marisa Giardina grew up in Connecticut, and moved to North Carolina in 1992 to attend the University of North Carolina at Greensboro for her pre-veterinary studies. In 2000, she graduated from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began practicing at a small practice in Wilmington, NC following graduation. In 2001, Dr. Giardina moved to Baltimore, MD and completed a two-year internship at the National Aquarium in Baltimore. She stayed in Maryland for another year and worked at a small animal/exotics practice, but then finally moved back to North Carolina and joined the Cornwallis Road Animal Hspital team in September, 2004. She enjoys all aspects of small animal and exotics medicine, as well as soft tissue surgery.

In her spare time, Dr. Giardina enjoys exercising, including running 1/2 marathons and playing soccer, and is also an avid "movie-goer".
